German news photographers urged a boycott of Bob Dylan's upcoming tour of the country, citing the notoriously camera-shy bard's refusal to let photographers into his concerts. "Dylan's ironclad ban on any form of photo or film and video coverage of his tour is a violation of press rights under the German constitution," the German Journalists Union (DJV) said in relaying the news photographers' demands.
"The free exercise of photojournalism is more important that Bob Dylan's personal whims," said DJV spokesman Hendrik Zoerner. Dylan's eight-city tour commences in Hamburg October 17 for a run through November 8.
